Abstract
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve power management of a container ship which supplies power to a ship component by using a power generator.
SOLUTION: A power control system (100) for a container ship is disclosed. The power control system (100) comprises a power interface (105) for supplying energy to at least one reefer container (130) which can be transported by the container ship. The power control system (100) further comprises a control device (110) constituted to acquire load data representing a load to be applied to a power generator (120) of the container ship, and target load range data representing a target load range of the power generator (120). The power control system (100) is constituted to control the load so that the load falls within the target load range by increasing the energy to be supplied to the power interface (105) to be stored in the at least one reefer container by the control device when the load is less than the target load range.
