Abstract
Structural basis (1). The foundation (1) has a body (2) for insertion into the soil in the insertion direction during installation. The distal end of the body (2) has a toe (8). The toe (2) defines an opening (11) within the internal cavity (15). The movement of the toes (2) through the soil causes the soil to move laterally to the moved soil area within the internal cavity (15). One or more nozzles (10) are provided to direct the fluid to the moved soil area during installation to transfer the soil from the moved soil area. A pump system (24) for draining fluid from the internal cavity (15) during installation is also provided to reduce soil suspension pressure within the transferred soil area.
