Abstract
A mold (20) for manufacturing a wind turbine blade cover part, the mold (20) being provided with a molding surface (22) defining the outer shape of the wind turbine cover part, where the mold (20) has a longitudinal direction and comprises a root end mold part at a longitudinal end thereof, and wherein the mold (20) is provided with a lowering mechanism (85), which is adapted to carry and lower a root end insert on the mold molding surface (22), characterized in that the lowering mechanism (85) is adapted to lower the root end insert in a two stage movement, where the insert of root end in a first stage of movement descends on the molding surface (22) while the root end insert is angled upward in the longitudinal direction until a first end of the root end insert makes contact with a part of the molding surface (22) at the root end and where the root end insert in a second stage of motion is inclined until the root end insert rests on the molding surface (22).
