Abstract

A fiber matting system (30) for placing and cutting fiber mats in a mold for the manufacture of a composite part reinforced with fibers, in particular a part for a wind turbine blade, such as an aerodynamic cover part , in which the system adapts to place the fiber mat when it moves in a longitudinal direction along the mold, and in which the system comprises: - a first drive roller (32) to advance the mat of fiber, - a cutting device (34) for cutting the fiber mat, - a clamping device (36) for holding the fiber mat, while the fiber mat is being cut by the cutting device, characterized in that the The system further comprises: - a cushion roller (38) which provides a cushion length for the fiber mat and which is disposed forward of the first drive roller, the first clamping device and the cutting device, the cushion roller can be moved in order to vary the length of the cushion of the fiber mat, and - a second drive roller (40) for advancing the fiber mat and being disposed forward of the cushion roller.
