Abstract

The invention relates to a method for installing a gas transport device. Method for installing a gas transportation device (1) on a seabed (2) between an offshore facility (3) and at least one further facility (4), wherein the gas transportation device (1) comprises as components at least one gas transportation pipe (9) and at least one counterweight means (10), wherein the gas transportation pipe (9) and the counterweight means (10) are coupled before lowering the gas transportation device (1) to the seabed (2), wherein an electric power cable (15) and/or a further pipe (22) at least partly filled with a liquid and/or a solid medium is used as the counterweight means (10), the counterweight means (10) extending over almost the entire distance bridged by the gas transportation pipe (9).
