Abstract

A fluid controller, in particular a fluid controller that is part of a hydraulic steering unit, is described. The controller comprises a housing having a supply port arrangement, a sleeve rotatably arranged in a bore of the housing, a spool rotatably arranged in the sleeve, and a measurement motor, wherein the measurement motor comprises a plurality of working chambers, each working chamber being connected to the bore, wherein the sleeve comprises a reversing geometry having a first partition and controlling a flow of hydraulic fluid into and out of the working chambers with a housing geometry of the housing, and the spool comprises a spool geometry controlling a flow of hydraulic fluid between the supply port arrangement and the reversing geometry with a valve geometry of the sleeve. Such a fluid controller should have stable control performance. To this end, the valve geometry includes a second partition that is different from the first partition.
