Abstract
The invention relates to a method for reducing SO in sulfuric acid production2、SO3And H2SO4Start-up emission method and sulfuric acid plant design of (1), wherein SO2Conversion to SO in n successive catalyst beds3Wherein n is an integer greater than 1. The last catalyst bed is used as SO during the start-up procedure2And SO3And during a preceding shutdown, one or more of the m beds downstream of the first bed are purged, either separately or simultaneously, with hot gas, where m is an integer greater than 1 and m is<n is the same as the formula (I). In addition, a separate purge with hot gas is used on the last bed.
