AUTOMATED WINDOW FOR INSTALLATION IN AN INCLINED ROOF

A roof window (1) adapted for being installed in an inclined roof, the window (1) comprising a window frame (2) in which an upper window sash (3) and a lower window sash (4) are installed. The roof window (1) further comprises two collapsible side railings (6), each side railing (6) being connected to a window frame side member (2c, 2d) and a lower window sash side member (4c, 4d) . The side railings (6) are collapsed when the lower window sash (4) is in a closed position and extended when the lower window sash (4) is in an open position. The roof window (1) further comprises at least one electrically driven lower actuator (10), comprising an electric drive motor (11), arranged to pivot the lower window sash (4) between the open and closed positions. The lower actuator (10) further comprises a first actuator part (10a) and a second actuator part (10b), at least one of the actuator parts (10a, 10b) extending in parallel with the window frame side member (2c, 2d) when the lower window sash (4) is in the open position, and the first and second actuator parts (10a, 10b) extending in parallel with the window frame side member (2c, 2d) when the lower window sash (4) is in the closed position.
