Abstract

Hinge for roof window and roof window. In a roof window, each hinge of a set of hinges comprises a frame hinge portion, a sash hinge portion and a motion support assembly comprising a guide arrangement with a linkage having at least two links providing a connection between the sash hinge portion and the frame hinge portion. Each link is connected to at least one of the frame hinge portion and the sash hinge portion at a joint and to each other. Force transmission means are provided for exerting lifting assistance to the movement of the window sash relative to the main frame during opening of the roof window in the mounted state of the hinge. The force transmission means is provided with biasing means selected from the group comprising leaf springs, torsion springs and tension/compression springs. The force transfer means may comprise a pick-up biased by a leaf spring connected to the frame hinge portion or the sash hinge portion by means of the fastening tab and/or the first abutment tab and/or the second abutment tab.
