The present invention relates to control of load dumping of earth movers. An improved control of load dumping of an earth-moving machine (1), the earth-moving machine (1) having a transport container (6) configured to carry a load. Control data is generated by analyzing (24) the sensory data and/or the machine sensory data to determine (25) material parameters providing information (17, 18, 19, 20) about the adhesiveness of the current load of the transport container (6) for manipulating the transport container (6) according to the selected dumping mode. Based on the material parameters, an appropriate dumping mode is selected (26), for example to improve the efficiency of the unloading sequence and to reduce wear of the earth-moving machine (1).
