Abstract

Disclosed is a mold system for molding a blade shell of a wind turbine blade, comprising a first mold for manufacturing a first blade shell portion of the wind turbine blade; a second mould for manufacturing a second blade shell portion of a wind turbine blade; a turning device configured to reposition the first mold between an open mold position and a closed mold position, comprising a turning mechanism and a first primary truss rod connecting the turning mechanism to the first mold; a first bracket disposed between the first mold and the second mold in the open mold position and including a first primary bracket portion and a first secondary bracket portion separated by a first primary bracket opening, the first primary bracket allowing the first primary spar to move therethrough during repositioning of the first mold; a first primary movable stage attached to the first mold and configured to move between an extended stage position and a storage stage position and to cover the first primary support opening in the extended position and to be arranged to expose the first primary support opening in the storage stage position.
