Abstract

Monitoring of blades in a wind turbine. A method for detecting a state of a rotor blade of a wind turbine is proposed, the rotor blade comprising at least one aerodynamic device for influencing an airflow, the aerodynamic device being movable between a first configuration and a second configuration, the method comprising the steps of: -measuring an output signal measured by at least one sensor mounted on the wind turbine, -moving the aerodynamic device between the first configuration and the second configuration, -measuring a change in the resulting output signal, -post-processing the measured output signal, wherein the post-processing is performed in the frequency domain and comprises: -deriving a frequency spectrum, -calculating an upper spectral interval of the frequency spectrum above a frequency threshold, -comparing the upper spectral interval with a reference frequency spectrum, -deriving a state of the rotor blade based on the step of comparing.
