Abstract
The invention relates to a wind turbine having a safety system with a plurality of gas outlets. A wind turbine (40) comprising a generator (2), an electrolysis unit (3), a system inlet (4) and a system outlet (5), wherein the electrolysis unit (3) is powered by the generator (2) to produce hydrogen (6) from an input fluid (9), in particular water, wherein the produced hydrogen (6) can be taken from the wind turbine (40) through the system outlet (5), characterized in that the wind turbine (40) further comprises a safety system (20) controlled by a control unit, the safety system (20) being configured to expel the hydrogen (6) from the wind turbine (40) by means of a plurality of gas outlets (21) distributed on a platform (45) of the wind turbine (40) and to release the hydrogen (6) to the atmosphere.
