Abstract

The present invention relates to a connector device and a method for weatherproofing a roof window arrangement. A connector arrangement for a protective assembly for use in a roof window arrangement is disclosed. The connector device comprises a base connector element, a facade element and a top connector element. The two connector elements have a groove in their outer side and the groove is open at one end so that water can drain from the groove. The attachment section on the inner side of the base connector element is configured to be attached to a bracket for connecting the roof window to the load bearing structure, and the facade element supports the top connector element such that the top connector element is positioned above the base connector element. In the mounted state, the second end of the top connector element is arranged above the groove of the base connector element, and the length directions of the top connector element and the base connector element extend substantially parallel to each other. A method for weatherproofing a roof window arrangement is also disclosed.
