Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for determining performance parameters of a plant auxiliary equipment estimator of a power plant controller, the power plant controller being configured to control a renewable power plant comprising a plurality of power generating units, wherein the plant auxiliary equipment estimator is configured to provide an internal power loss estimate of the renewable power plant, the method comprising the steps of: providing at least one first pair of associated first and second power values in a first power range (P _prod,P_meas), providing at least one second pair of associated first and second power values in a second power range (P _prod,P_meas), determining a representation of the first pair of associated first and second power values according to a predetermined rule (P _prod,P_meas), and determining a representation of the second pair of associated first and second power values (P _prod,P_meas), and calculating a first set of performance parameters using the representations of the first and second pairs of associated first and second power values (P _prod,P_meas).
