Abstract
A toy system comprising a plurality of toy construction elements, each toy construction element comprising a coupling member for detachably interconnecting the toy construction elements to each other to create one or more coherent space structures; wherein the plurality of toy construction elements comprises: an energy source device comprising a housing and an energy transmission circuit housed within the housing; one or more energy distribution devices, each configured to provide a respective one or more outer conductive rings extending outside the housing and defining a respective outer energy transmission zone adjacent the respective one or more outer conductive rings; wherein the energy source device is configured to be in operative connection with one or more energy distribution devices; and wherein the energy transmission circuit is configured to receive electrical energy from the energy source and, when the energy source apparatus is operatively connected to a first energy distribution apparatus of the one or more energy distribution apparatuses, to energize the one or more outer conductive rings of the first energy distribution apparatus so as to generate a time-varying electromagnetic field in an outer energy transmission region defined by the first energy distribution apparatus adjacent the one or more outer conductive rings of the first energy distribution apparatus.
