Abstract
Construction machine and construction site measurement system having a measurement system. Construction machine, in particular a grader, bulldozer or excavator, comprising: a chassis, a steering device and a power system for driving the construction machine through the chassis; an earth-moving tool for working on terrain; a measurement system having a first measurement unit configured to generate first measurement data in a first detection range and including at least a first camera and a first LiDAR scanner configured to rotate a first measurement beam about a first axis and a second axis that is non-parallel to the first axis at a rotational speed of at least 0.5Hz relative to the axes; an interface to connect the first measurement unit to a computer, the computer configured to perform, based on the first measurement data, at least one of: generating a three-dimensional model of the terrain within the first detection range; identifying an obstacle or person within a first detection range; controlling at least one of a steering device, a power system, and an earth moving tool. The invention also relates to a building site measuring system.
