Abstract

A generator (11) having a stator (20), a rotor (30) and a plurality of coils (41, 42, 43) comprising conductors shaped as strips, the stator (20) extending axially along a longitudinal axis (Y) between a first axial end (22) and a second axial end (23), the stator (20) comprising a plurality of slots (51 a, 52a, 53a, 51b, 52b, 53 b), the plurality of slots (51 a, 52a, 53a, 51b, 52b, 53 b) being distributed circumferentially around the longitudinal axis (Y) of the stator (20), each of the coils (41, 42, 43) comprising: -two slot portions (41 a, 41 b; 42a, 42 b; 43a, 43 b) respectively housed in two slots (51 a, 51 b; 52a, 52 b; 53a, 53 b) of the stator (20), -two end windings (41 c, 42c, 43 c) axially projecting from the stator (20) at the first axial end (22) and at the second axial end (23). The slot portions (41 a, 41b, 42a, 42b, 43a, 43 b) are shaped and positioned in respective slots (51 a, 51b, 52a, 52b, 53a, 53 b) such that end windings (41 c, 42c, 43 c) of two circumferentially adjacent coils (41, 42, 43) overlap and are spaced apart in a radial direction orthogonal to the longitudinal axis (Y).
