Abstract

It is described an apparatus (100) for discharging an electrical current due to a lightning strike at a tip attachment component (101) of a rotor blade (103) of a wind turbine, the apparatus comprising: a conductor (107) adapted to conduct electrical current due to a lightning strike; an insulator (113) disposed around the conductor, the insulator (133) being disposable within the tip attachment assembly (101) along with the conductor (107).
