Abstract

A system for centralized water monitoring in a fishing ground, the system comprising a plurality of fish ponds, the fish ponds divided into first and second subgroups; a first sample conduit (08) and a second sample conduit (10) connected by a first set of pipes, the first sample conduit (08) being connected to only a first of the subgroups, connected by a second set of pipes, the second sample conduit (10) being connected to only a second of the subgroups; each of said pipe connections is connected to only one fish pond, the pipe connections being arranged to take water samples from a selected fish pond of the first subgroup (04) into the first sample conduit (08) and from a selected fish pond of the second subgroup (06) into the second sample conduit (10). Water samples are received from the first and second sample conduits by the first and second sensor systems (26, 24) for simultaneous measurement of the samples by the sensor systems (26, 24).
