Abstract
METHOD OF PRODUCTION OF A CASING, METHOD FOR PRODUCING A FLEXIBLE TUBE AND FLEXIBLE TUBE. Here a method of producing a housing for a hose, housing and a hose with housing is described. The method includes providing at least a first metallic strip and a covering metallic strip. Casting the first strip to have a profile with a first bend adapted to face towards the axis of the housing and a second bend adapted to face away from the axis of the housing. Pre-treat an anchor-width section of the covering strip, including a resistance weakening treatment against length-extension and/or a length-extension of the pre-treated portion of the anchor-width section. Insert the anchor width section of the cover strip into the first fold, ensuring that a cover width section of the cover strip extends beyond the second fold. Helically wrap the first metal strip and the cover strip to provide that the first ply engages and interlocks with the second ply and that the covering width section covers a helical gap between the windings of the first metal strip on the inside of the housing .
