A collapsible waste stand 100 for a waste bag 2 is described. The waste rack, in its unfolded configuration and in the upright orientation intended during use, comprises a frame 4 of a resilient material and a flexible wall 6. The frame 4 is in the form of a spiral 8 with a number of spiral turns 10a,10b,10c,10d ,10e; and the flexible wall 6 is suspended on the frame 4, the flexible wall being attached to the frame via a number of fastening means 12. The waste rack comprises an upper end 14 and a lower end 16, and the waste rack is open at the upper end 14 upwards, and the waste rack is at the lower end 16 downwardly open.
