Abstract

This invention relates to a cylindrical enclosure (1) for exposing solar cells (2 and 3) to light by capturing light, including sunlight, and reflecting this to solar cells in the enclosure. The solar cells, regardless of type and number, are arranged cylindrically in any number of layers inside the cabinet, while the effective side of the solar cells faces in or out towards the cabinet. The inside of the cabinet as well as the non-efficient side of the solar cells reflect light using reflectors, mirrors or other means, including luminescence, which enhances the reflection of light towards the solar cells. The technical effect of the cabinet is a larger surface of solar cells per square meter and thus a larger energy production per square meter. One or more cabinets with solar cells are set up to catch sunlight so that electricity can be produced. The invention can especially be used in areas where there is limited space to use conventional solar cells.
