A building construction element (2) and a method for manufacturing the building construction element (2) is disclosed. The method has the following steps: a) molding a first layer (20) by arranging in a first mold (30) two parallel spaced apart plates (4, 4'), wherein a plurality of reinforcement elements (8, 8', 8'') extend between and connect the spaced apart plates (4, 4'), b) injecting PUR or PIR into the space between the plates (4, 4'); c) after a cooling process either placing in the first mold (30) a second layer (16) comprising a plate member (24) and a plurality of reinforcement structures (22, 22', 22'', 22''') that are attached to the plate member (24) and extend perpendicular to the plate member (24) into the first mold (30) in such a manner that the reinforcement structures (22, 22', 22'', 22''') of the second layer (16) bear against a plate (4, 4') of the first layer (20) or alternatively placing the first layer (20) in a second mold (30') and arranging a second layer (16) of the previously mentioned configuration.
