Two-stage treatment plant

The invention relates to a processing plant (1) for crushing ROM material (6) to a grain size of < 1 mm, comprising a primary feed unit (10) for feeding ROM material (6); a crusher (12) as a primary stage (2) for crushing the ROM material (6) to a mill grain size (14) that is suitable for being fed to a mill (16); a mill (16) as a secondary stage (4) for crushing the material (14) with mill grain size to a ground grain size of < 1 mm; and a conveyor device (18) that connects the crusher (12) on the output side to the mill (16) on the input side for feeding the material (14) crushed to the mill grain size to the mill (16), and an extraction unit (39) that is used to extract ground material (8) from the mill (16). The invention further relates to a method for comminuting ROM material (6).
