Mounting System and Method for Detachably Attaching a Device to a Mounting Structure Fixed to a Vehicle

A mounting system (2) for detachably attaching a device (10) to a mounting structure (20) fixed to a vehicle (30) is disclosed. The mounting system (2) comprises: - a support member (4) comprising an attachment member (12) arranged and configured to engage with a corresponding attachment structure (22) of the mounting structure (20) and - a base member (8) comprising a fixation member (18) arranged and configured to engage with a corresponding fixation structure of the device (10). The support member (4) comprises an engagement structure (6, 6', 6'', 6''') arranged and configured to be detachably attached to an engagement portion (5, 5', 5'', 5''') of the base member (8) and hereby detachably attach the support member (4) to the base member (8). The engagement structure (6, 6', 6'', 6''') is formed as an assembly structure comprising a plurality of permanent magnets (6, 6', 6'', 6'''), wherein the engagement portion (5, 5', 5'', 5''') is formed as an assembly portion comprising a plurality of permanent magnets (5, 5', 5'', 5''') arranged to engage with the permanent magnets (6, 6', 6'', 6''') of the assembly structure of the engagement structure (6, 6', 6'', 6'''). The engagement structure (6, 6', 6'', 6''') of the support member (4) is arranged and configured to be brought out of engagement with the engagement portion (5, 5', 5'', 5''') of the base member (8) by rating the support member (4) relative to the base member (8).
