A gantry walking device is supplied for an intelligent welding device. The gantry apparatus is configured for intelligent welding of sub-assemblies of ship blocks and is movably connected to a roller table bracket supported by outriggers. The gantry running apparatus includes a gantry, a welding system, a mechanical arm lifting mechanism and a pair of mechanical arms movably connected to the mechanical arm lifting mechanism. The roller table bracket includes roller table connecting plates on two of its long sides. A series of coaxial connecting holes are symmetrically and uniformly distributed in a longitudinal inside of each of the connecting plates of the roller table at equal intervals. The feed rollers are sequentially arranged movably in the corresponding connecting holes in the connecting plates of the roller table on the two sides in a penetrating manner. The horizontally placed feed rollers form a feed roller table on the intelligent welding device for assembly of blocks in the room. On the two longitudinal sides of the roller table bracket, sliding mechanisms are arranged so that the intelligent welding apparatus can move back and forth in the longitudinal direction along the upper surface of the feed roller table. Welding of initial sub-assemblies and complex sub-assemblies, including flat edge welding, vertical edge welding and all-round edge welding, can be carried out in cooperation, and a whole process is automated, so that the damage caused by welding gas to a human body is reduced; and the welding is stable in speed and efficient, so that welding wires are saved.
