ASSEMBLY OF ALUMINIUM ELECTRODES AND BARRIER LAYERS FOR SUPER CAPACITOR EMBEDDING A STANDARD CAPACITOR AND HAVING IMPROVED RESISTANCE TO CORROSION

An aluminium current collector for a capacitor assembly comprising capacitor layers (4 and 6 being aluminium electrodes layers; and (5) an electrolyte impregnated separator); between top and bottom pure aluminum capacitor foil sheets (1, 9) or external electrodes (i.e. current collectors) and an ionic isolating and protective layer (i.e. an elastomeric hydrophobic corrosion barrier layer (3, 7)) in direct contact with a porous primer layer (2, 8) between the standard capacitor layers (4-6) and the top and bottom aluminum capacitor foil sheets (1, 9) which is protected from corrosion is provided.
