A filter dryer component includes a cartridge housing having a fluid inlet and a fluid outlet, an inlet valve, an outlet valve, and a bypass section having a bypass passage therein with an inlet port and an outlet port in communication with each other, the inlet valve and the outlet valve each being T-ball valve and each defining two opposing ports and a side port, the two opposing ports of the inlet valve being connected to the fluid inlet connector and the fluid inlet of the cartridge housing, the side ports of the inlet valve being connected to the inlet port of the bypass passage, the two opposing ports of the outlet valve being connected to the fluid outlet connector and the fluid outlet of the cartridge housing, respectively, the side ports of the outlet valve being connected to the outlet port of the bypass passage. The filter dryer component has reduced volume and weight and saves manufacturing costs. The utility model also discloses a filter dryer.
