AN EXTRACTION UNIT AND USE OF AN EXTRACTION UNIT

An extraction unit (1) for extracting liquid from a liquid flow is disclosed. The extraction unit (1) comprises a passage tube (2) including a liquid inlet (3) at one end and a liquid outlet (4) at another end, and a sump (5) protruding from a tube sidewall (15) of the passage tube (2), wherein the sump (5) comprises a sump bottom (6) and at least one sump sidewall (7) extending from the passage tube (2) to the sump bottom (6). The extraction unit (1) further comprises an extraction outlet (8) arranged in the sump sidewall (7), and a guide plate (9) extending from the sump sidewall (7) above the extraction outlet towards an opposite side of the sump (5), and wherein at least one extraction slit (10) is formed between the guide plate (9) and the sump sidewall (7).
