Preform element support device (9) for supporting a longitudinal preform element (6), in particular for a wind turbine blade, during removal of a vacuum bag (7) of the preform element (6), comprising
- vertically extending holding means (10) at each lateral side positioned at a lateral distance (11), and
- multiple, laterally extending support portions (17) spanning the lateral distance (11) between the holding means (10), the multiple support portions (17) having a staggered arrangement in the longitudinal direction (18),
- wherein the support portions (17) are saggingly mounted to the holding means (10) and are flexible to conform to a shape of a preform element (6) supported on the support portions (17).
