Abstract

A method of making a working channel tube and an endoscope that includes a handle or interface including a housing and a working channel access port, an insertion cord extending distally from the handle or interface and including at least an insertion tube and a distal tip unit and a working channel extending from the working channel access port to the distal tip unit. The working channel is at least in part formed by a working channel tube arranged at least in sections inside the insertion cord, wherein the working channel tube has an inner friction-reducing textured or structured surface and an outer surface.
