Method for enzymatic and/or microbiological treatment of waste materials, including recirculation of treated water

The present invention relates to a method for continuous or batch treatment of waste material, such as solid waste material, subjected to enzymatic and/or microbiological degradation in a bioreactor to produce a biological liquid and a solid fraction, the method comprising recycling treated water obtained from downstream treatment of the biological liquid and/or solid fraction. In addition to recycling the process water, water from an external source may be added to the reactor.
